Heritage Re-creation 45GS

A recreation is only as good as its restraint, and Grand Seiko didn't inflate the 45GS's original case to chase modern trends — this stays at 38.7mm in steel, true to the 1968 proportions rather than the 40mm-plus norm most heritage reissues drift toward. The manual-wind Hi-Beat manufacture caliber underneath is the real point: high-frequency accuracy in a case built for legibility, not spectacle. White dial, leather strap, nothing shouting for attention. On my axes this scores well on historical fidelity and movement quality, less on wrist presence — a watch for someone who wants the object right, not the impression it makes.
