3900 meters is a number that means nothing in practice — no diver alive has been anywhere near it — but it's the kind of overbuilt spec that makes the Deepsea an outlier even in my own database of 4,000-plus references. This 136660-0005 is 44mm steel with a black dial, $13,850, and the case is noticeably thicker than the number alone suggests; on my proportions axis it loses points that the Submariner keeps. Try it on before you commit to it. The capability was never the question — a depth rating like that is trivially easy to over-engineer — the actual constraint is whether 44mm of thick steel sits well on your wrist.
