Author POV

The Railmaster is the quiet third of Omega's 1957 trilogy, next to the Seamaster 300 and the Speedmaster, and this limited run of 3,557 pieces sticks closest to the original brief: an antimagnetic field watch, not a dive watch and not a chronograph. 60m of water resistance looks low next to most other Omega divers, but that's a deliberate, historically accurate number rather than a shortfall — this watch was never built to go underwater, it was built to survive next to electrical equipment. Black dial, steel case and bracelet, 38mm — restrained proportions for a piece that's easy to overlook next to its two flashier trilogy siblings, which is probably why I rate it as the most honest design of the three.
