"300m of water resistance and a Master Chronometer-certified Cal. 8800 in a 42mm case — the reference most people picture first when they hear "dive watch," James Bond included."
Two-tone gets dismissed too easily in my experience, and this 300M argues against that: steel and rose gold on case and bracelet, a black dial, a Master Chronometer-certified caliber 8800 underneath, and the full 300m depth rating unchanged from the all-steel versions. That certification means it's tested for anti-magnetic resistance well beyond ISO chronometer standards, a meaningful axis on my sheet that the gold accents don't compromise. At 42mm it wears identically to the steel 300M, so what you're paying for is the alloy, not a different case architecture — the date window is the only complication.
