A solid-gold dive chronograph rated to 300m is a genuinely odd object — the depth rating implies a tool watch, the material says the opposite, and this piece embraces that tension rather than resolving it. Caliber 9900 underneath is the same column-wheel co-axial chronograph as the steel version, so the engineering isn't diluted for the gold build, only the case and Sedna gold bracelet are. At 44mm and in solid gold it wears noticeably heavier than the steel or two-tone 300Ms I've logged — the honest trade-off: you're buying presence and material rarity, and the 300m rating is really a spec sheet flex rather than a use case.
