What I clock first on the Big Eye is the off-center small seconds at nine — a direct lift from 1930s aviation dial layouts, and a design choice I rate highly on character even though it trades away a fraction of at-a-glance legibility. At 41mm in steel it wears like a vintage-proportioned case should, and the 30-meter rating tells you plainly what this watch is for: worn under a cuff, not into a pool. Automatic movement, brown leather strap, black dial — nothing here overreaches, and that restraint is exactly what I look for in a reissue done right.
