The Elegance series offers a refined aesthetic with a focus on simplicity and precision. Featuring a Spring Drive movement, it represents the balance between traditional craftsmanship and modern technology.
Same manufacture automatic movement as the Heritage piece I catalogued from this range, but the Elegance case treatment changes the read completely: 40.2mm steel, blue dial, and a leather strap instead of a bracelet, which drops the whole watch's wrist presence and pushes it toward the dress end of my proportions axis. Water resistance sits at 100m, more than the case's dressy intent really requires, and the power-reserve display carries over unchanged. What's worth noting is that Grand Seiko doesn't downgrade the movement to hit a dressier silhouette — the caliber under the Elegance line is the same quality tier as the sportier Heritage cases, just dressed differently.
