A modern representation of Grand Seiko's design ethos with a precise Spring Drive movement. It combines robust elegance with practical functionality, making it an ideal companion for daily wear.
Unlike most of the Grand Seiko range I've catalogued in this batch, this Heritage reference — SBGA375 — runs on a conventional automatic manufacture movement rather than Spring Drive: a real balance wheel, a ticking seconds hand, no glide motion. Blue dial, 40mm steel case, steel bracelet, 100m water resistance, and a power-reserve display carried over from the family's usual layout. On my movement-quality axis this scores differently than its Spring Drive siblings, not lower — traditional escapements and Spring Drive sit on separate value curves in my model, and a manufacture automatic with a proper reserve indicator at this size is genuinely well specified for the price bracket it competes in.
