Farer
For those who want colour and character in a Swiss-made watch.

Farer was founded in London in 2015 around a simple bet: buyers would pay for a genuinely Swiss-made mechanical watch with real colour and character, instead of another monochrome tool-watch homage. Every watch is designed in London, manufactured in Switzerland, and named after a historical explorer or travel pioneer — a naming convention the brand has kept since its first release.
A London-designed, Swiss-made independent known for saturated dial colourways, bronze winding crowns that patina with use, and an explorer-inspired naming convention — genuine Sellita and La Joux-Perret movements without the monochrome tool-watch default.

About Farer
Farer was founded in London in 2015 by Paul Sweetenham, a former watch buyer and retailer, alongside Ben Lewin, Jono Holt, and Stuart Finlayson, who ran a London branding and marketing agency together. Its first release was a run of nine quartz watches, each named after a historical explorer or travel pioneer — George Mallory, Amy Johnson, Martin Frobisher, Howard Carter — a naming convention the brand has kept ever since.
Explorers, Bronze Crowns, and Colour
In September 2016, Farer added an automatic line distinguished by solid bronze winding crowns that develop their own patina with handling, while dials moved toward the saturated, non-standard colourways — burnt orange, olive, deep claret — that have become the brand's clearest visual signature, a deliberate departure from the black-or-blue default of most tool watches.
GMTs and the Aqua Compressor Diver
Farer introduced its GMT models and Aqua Compressor dive watches in 2017. The GMT line runs on the Sellita SW330-2, a widely respected Swiss GMT caliber, while the Aqua Compressor uses the La Joux-Perret G101 — a movement more commonly found in watches well above Farer's price point. Every watch is designed in London and manufactured in Switzerland by Roventa Henex in Bienne.
Where Farer Sits Today
Farer competes less on price than on identity: real Swiss movements and manufacturing, but with a colour palette and naming convention no legacy Swiss brand would use. It's aimed at buyers who want a genuine mechanical watch with some personality on the dial, rather than a monochrome tool-watch homage.
Main collections
Lander
Farer's GMT line, running the Sellita SW330-2 for a second time zone read off a rotating 24-hour bezel.
Stanhope
A core three-hand automatic reference with Farer's signature bronze crown, built as an everyday watch rather than a specialist tool.
Discovery
A more compact three-hand line, leaning further into Farer's saturated colourways than its larger references.
Maze
Another three-hand automatic reference built around one of Farer's more saturated dial colourways.
Notable models
Segrave III
A third-generation reference in one of Farer's core three-hand families, named after motor-racing and land-speed record holder Henry Segrave.
Resolute III
A third-generation three-hand reference named in the same exploration-themed convention as the rest of the range.
Charlton Green
A compact 38mm three-hand reference in one of Farer's deeper green colourways, sized for smaller wrists than the brand's GMT references.
