Carbon cases don't show up often in my catalogue, and this one earns its place: the composite construction of the Black Bay Chrono Carbon shaves real weight off a 42mm case that would otherwise sit heavy on the wrist. The white racing dial stays legible even with two chronograph counters competing for space, and the hybrid leather-and-rubber strap is the right call on a piece rated to 200m — built for the street, not the depths. On my materials and wrist-presence axes this scores well; on versatility, less so — it's a bold weekend watch, not a daily all-rounder. Date is the only concession to practicality here.
