Black Bay P01

The P01's case is the strangest thing I've measured in Tudor's current lineup — a bezel-lock mechanism and crown guard geometry that don't resemble anything else in the catalogue, because this started life as a one-off 1960s prototype for the US Navy rather than a design brief. At 42mm it wears larger than the number suggests, thanks to that unconventional bezel architecture eating into the dial-to-case ratio. 200m water resistance and a leather strap on a steel case built for the sea is an odd but honest combination.
