An annual calendar only needs correction once a year rather than monthly, which is the entire point of paying for one, and 100m water resistance is comfortably more than a leather-strapped calendar watch needs to justify its price. Brown leather against a white dial is a classic, safe pairing rather than a bold one — a watch built to be worn for decades without looking dated, not to make a statement in year one.
