This 278240-0018 is 31mm steel with a pink dial, $9,855, and it carries the same 100m-rated Oyster case as every larger Datejust I've measured — which is more sealing than most watches this size, in any brand, bother building in. The dial color and size read dressy, but the case underneath doesn't know the difference between this and a Submariner. On my durability axis, that consistency across the whole Datejust range regardless of size or finish is one of the things Rolex does better than nearly anyone else I've catalogued.
