This Evolution 9 Birch Bark case is titanium at 38.6mm — a size that reads dressier than the sport-adjacent Grand Seikos I catalogue, closer to classic dress proportions than a tool watch. The white dial carries the birch-bark grain the line is named for, texture doing the work color usually does. Paired with a leather strap, it's built for wrist presence over durability — on my scoring axes it lands high on finishing, lower on versatility: craft over utility.
