The 44GS case shape is one of the reference points in Grand Seiko's own design grammar — flat planes, sharp bevels, a silhouette that dates back to 1967 and still defines how the brand cuts a case today. This one adds Ever-Brillant Steel, an alloy formulated to resist scratching and hold its polish longer than standard 316L, plus the Hi-Beat 36000 movement underneath the silvered dial. It's a combination of heritage case design and modern metallurgy that I don't see paired often, and it's exactly the kind of detail my 35-axis scoring is built to catch.
